Introduction

eoidata (eoidata.com) is a free, publicly accessible tool for exploring Australian SkillSelect Expression of Interest (EOI) data. This Privacy Policy explains what limited information we collect from visitors and how it is used.

No Account Required

eoidata does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the site. Every page, filter, and calculation is available to any visitor, with no sign-up.

Information We Collect

We currently collect the following limited categories of information:

  1. Usage Data — Aggregate, anonymised analytics about how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location by country/region, device and browser type), collected via Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.
  2. Session Analytics — Microsoft Clarity may record anonymised session interactions (clicks, scrolling, mouse movement) to help us understand how the site is used and improve it. Clarity masks free-text input by default.
  3. Cookies — Small files used to remember your preferences (such as language or theme) and to support the analytics tools above.
  4. Google Sign-In (optional) — If you choose to sign in with Google One Tap, we receive your name, email address, and Google profile photo from Google to identify you. We never receive your Google password. Declining this prompt does not limit any feature of the site — signing in is entirely optional.

We do not collect payment information, because eoidata has no paid features.

How We Use Information

  • To understand aggregate usage and improve the site.
  • To operate optional Google sign-in, for visitors who choose to use it.
  • To detect and prevent abuse of the service.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

Data Sharing

We share data only in these limited cases:

  • With Google, for Analytics and optional Google Sign-In.
  • With Microsoft, for Clarity session analytics.
  • To comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests from public authorities.
  • To protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect the limited information we hold.

Your Rights

Because eoidata does not require an account and stores no personal information beyond optional Google Sign-In, there is generally no personal data tied to you to access, export, or delete. If you have used Google Sign-In and want any associated data removed, contact us at hello@eoidata.com.

SkillSelect Data Is Not Personal Data About You

The EOI statistics displayed on eoidata are aggregate figures published by the Australian Department of Home Affairs' SkillSelect system. This dataset contains no personal information about individual visa applicants and is unrelated to the visitor information described above. See our Disclaimer for details on the data source.
